Bennie Thompson is warning Mississippians against the purchase or exchange of Iraqi dinars:” Why would he warn anyone against “exchanging Iraqi Dinars”? The truth is, he has received numerous complaints in his office, but they are all “claiming” he and the bankers have “cashed out”…and “claiming” – THIS IS UNFAIR!! IMHO – There are NO complaints to his office “claiming” inability to “exchange” – there are numerous places to exchange DINARS. 2-4-2014 Newshound Guru Millionday We see that the retirement law is done…Published in the official gazette and implemented this law from the date of 01.01.2014. They published it to begin the beginning of the fiscal year as they are claiming that all is to be with the calendar year as well. They will get back pay and begin with the calendar year — wow hope that is the budget as well — they said they have plenty of time with it being five days — makes you wonder what is at the end of that time — very interesting timeline they are stating. Najafi had a closed door meeting and they postponed the budget yesterday to give five days for all to work out disagreements etc — so in five days it will be back on table. Read more…

We’ve seen the Bank of Baghdad begin selling its stock shares on the ISX at something like $7.19/share. The hilarious thing is that on the Iraqi Stock Exchange, the shares list at 2.09 IQD. When you do the math, it works out to $3.44 per Dinar. That is consistent with a report that came from a Senior VP at Chase who reported to us yesterday that he was seeing the new rates for the GCR on his administrative screens. 1-31-2014 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG I have good sources that say there are at least 5 or 6 plans that have been discussed. I am not so sure they have decided on an end result yet. I heard different numbers from $1, $1.25 to $1.50 that is entirely believable as an entry place and it could be really low. I have talked to some very good economists and if it comes out in that very low range it’s not going to be very long, 3, 4, 5 maybe 6 weeks, before it’s up to a pretty good number. Personally I think no matter what it comes out at in 6 months to a year after some political realignment we might see the natural value of the dinar where it should be, probably $2.85 to 3.45 on the high side. And the CBI has said on several occasions…”they will gradually raise the value down to the day they begin to replace the currency.” An argument could be made that at the same time or before, they will remove these larger notes. If so, then a gradual appreciation of the value is possible. That is why only a float make sense at this point. No overnight RV could or will occur. 1-24-2014 Newshound Guru Enorrste If they waited until 1 dinar equaled about $1 before issuing any new currency…then there would be 25000 dinar notes, worth close to $25000 a piece, floating around the country just prior to the issuance of the new currency. This does not seem practical, logical, or safe, to me. And if it looks like it won’t happen in this year, what year looks the best for a cash-in?] I think it’s funny you put it that way…because that’s actually EXACTLY how I look at this whole thing…I constantly look at the odds. At the end of every conversation I have about the Iraqi Dinar, I think about one thing… “what are the odds that this currency will go UP this year?” I won’t pretend to know how high the Iraqi Dinar will go up this year, but I am willing to bet ANYONE that it WILL go up in the year 2014. There is no Marshal Law in Iraq and there is no celebrating in the streets and the people were not told anything about the RV in the mosques like is being reported. Here is some good news. I got a text that Ban Ki Moon has arrived in Iraq and Monday is now declared a holiday. We wonder why? Also, the date is correct on the CBI and yet there are no buy and sell rates listed.
