3-5-2014 Newshound Guru Kaperoni they were 95% dependent on oil and that apparently was reduced to 94% as of late, yet they just increased output significantly to 3.4 mbpd. they have no chance of WTO accession. it was stated directly from the WTO last year 4 key issues with Iraq and the most significant one is that they would not qualify for WTO accession until they reduced the dependence on oil to below 80% I think and that was confirmed yesterday with a long article that came out that discusses those meetings with the WTO stating it would not be good for Iraq to proceed. it even said it would be at least 10 years before they are ready. 3-2-2014 Newshound Guru Millionday Article quote: “nearly six laws within the legal committee did not initiate, most notably oil and gas”…”the failure to approve the law last during this session is a violation of the constitution of the House, because the Iraqi constitution, the text of the law was passed during this session.” this is fantastic — this means the law has been passed but not acknowledged — and all that has to be done is activation…that is great news and says the hcl as well (oil and gas)…that is huge progress and has to be done before the change in rates and many say that this is what is the hold up. 2-27-2014 Newshound Guru Millionday there is report out that is an opinion piece about the US holding up the reform of Iraq`s currency — i want to address this. one thing is an opinion is a statement given that has no proof or facts that can be verified. this is a fact — the US does not own or operate Iraq — they have gained their independence and also the IMF is through compliance not voting. this is a huge global event that has been called that in a huge number of countries as we have seen and will have a global effect…as it was stated in and by Iraq — the Globe is depending on this to effect the economic condition so i see nothing anywhere that would give legal rights to or power to the US to hold up the Dinar. 2-23-2014 Newshound Guru Enorrste Article: “Experts: Delete the zeros from the dinar increases its strength against the dollar and easy to draw a price policy” I found this article to be extremely uplifting. The parliamentary committee pulled off the gloves and told the “parking government” (i.e., not moving forward) that its weak reason for delay is not justified and will no longer be tolerated. However, more importantly to me, is that they also stated that they will appeal to the constitution itself in an effort to get the ball moving forward. The constitution is clear that the CBI is the ONLY department that has the authority to issue a new currency. Implied in that is that the CBI also has the authority to change the value of the dinar, which is necessary before a new currency can be issued. Therefore, what we are seeing is that the parliament is getting behind the CBI and…TELLING the government to “butt out” of the issue and let the CBI do its job. Read more…

2-18-2014 Intel Guru Delta [via anonymous] [(Can) the OMO can work without a rate?] no, the IMF did two Article 4 reveiws of Iraq. The next Article 4 review for the GOI is in March and they have to move to Open Market Operations before the March Article 4 review. The OMO cannot operate without a new rate and something needs to happen quickly. there is terrific pressure on the CBI and this week should see some exciting events over the next 2 weeks, we may see the rate start low…(.30 cents) and rise over the next couple weeks to $1.17 or whatever rate they have in mind. 2-17-2014 Newshound Guru Millionday Article: “Mustafa al-Hashemi represents a reduction of dollarization in Iraq…” the only way to get a country or anyone to stop using one currency and use the other is to make the currency give them more for their money. so they are saying that the dollarization will be reduced and the dinar will be everywhere because the dinar will buy more and will be what is on the cards and in the banks and it is a huge part of the monetary reform that they are doing…applying the reality rate is going to be hard but they are going to do this in the near future. the US will however now be used as a reserve currency in calculating the reality rate for the Iraqi dinar rate against all other international currency along with revenues , gold, metals, gdp, etc., etc. Read more…

2-14-2014 Intel Guru Frank26 In three days the CBI has collected… retrieved… called in… brought back… reversed engineered… or whatever you want to call it almost 3 trillion dinars…if I didn’t know any better I would venture to guess that the CBI had a target or knew exactly how many more 000’s they needed to bring back. We told you yesterday about the long lines with the citizens that were shown on Iraqi TV. They said all banks were busy too transferring their money to the CBI. Now add this to the dehydration of currency in Iraq. There is no money in the country and this is important evidence that something is about to happen not only to the currency but to the rate of the IQD. Yes the evidence has been encouraging. According to a statement by the Central Bank that a large number of Iraqi banks started financing open accounts in the bank for the purposes of the foreign currency auction returned directly funded banks accounts quick response to new instructions approved by the Bank CBI recently.” this is exciting stuff…the CBI wrote some new rules last year for the daily currency auctions. the actual new rules were posted back in Sept on CBI. they tell the banks they are changing the currency auction format and going to a new Open Market operations where the CBI is no longer the provider of foreign currency unless absolutely neccessary. 2-9-2014 Newshound Guru Kaperoni Article: “Lacey criticized the Central Bank’s decision to exclude banks from the auction currency only on condition that put their money in the Bank” I’m just speculating a bit but what I see here is the CBI is allowing banks on their own to buy up currency (dinars?) but as a condition they must keep it in the banks and not let it back out into circulation. This would seem to imply the CBI may be collecting dinar or trying to minimize the amount on the street. This guy appears to be saying, the banks just can’t pile it up and send it back to the CBI, we need it in the economy. It may be a sign of something to come. Read more…
