The State of Law Coalition affirmed on Wednesday its commitment to its political efforts to secure its ministerial entitlement within the framework of ongoing understandings, indicating that the chances of reaching an agreement within the coordination framework remain the strongest to avoid any political deadlock.
Coalition member Salah Boushi told Al-Maalomah, “The State of Law’s approach to its ministerial entitlement stems from a clear vision based on the principle of partnership and balance in governing the state, far removed from the logic of competition for positions.”
Boushi added, “The upcoming meeting of the coordination framework offers significant opportunities to reach decisive understandings, especially since all political forces are well aware of the sensitivity of the current stage and the challenges facing the country.”
He explained that “the current disagreements do not affect the core of the political process, but are limited to the mechanisms for distributing responsibilities and arranging entitlements,” anticipating that “the coming days will witness intensive dialogues to resolve the remaining ministerial portfolios and complete the government formation.”
Bushi added, “Iraq today needs to move from the stage of negotiating positions to the stage of actual implementation and providing services to citizens,” stressing that “a stable political landscape is the cornerstone for supporting government work.”
