Source: More than 50 US vehicles leave Harir base for Jordan

A security source in Anbar province revealed on Tuesday that a large US military convoy withdrew from Harir base in Erbil province towards Jordan, via the Trebil border crossing west of the province.
The source told Al-Maalomah News Agency that “an American military convoy comprising more than 50 Humvees left Harir base in Erbil and took the Baiji-Haditha road to the Trebil border crossing, in preparation for entering Jordanian territory.”
He added that “the convoy’s withdrawal comes in light of recent security developments, following the almost daily Iranian missile attacks on Harir Air Base and the US Consulate in Erbil,” noting that “US forces have imposed strict security measures inside the base and consulate, and reduced their troop numbers in order to minimize potential casualties.”
