MP Hassan Shaker, from the Badr bloc, called on the forces of the Coordination Framework on Thursday to definitively resolve the issue of the prime minister candidate, revealing that the competition is limited to three figures within the framework.
Shaker told Al-Maalomah News Agency that “the current political movement is focused on deciding the next prime minister from among three candidates competing for the position,” while ruling out “going towards the option of a compromise candidate in light of the existence of names that have acceptance within the Coordination House.”
He added that “the coordination framework is very keen to choose a strong and suitable figure for the requirements of the next stage who is capable of facing the service and security challenges,” noting that “the ongoing meetings aim to come up with a unified vision that ensures the stability of the next government and the success of its national program.”
Shaker pointed out that “time is of the essence, necessitating the finalization of agreements to proceed with constitutional requirements and end the political deadlock.”
