Independent politician Izzat al-Shabandar confirmed, today, Friday, that the framework meeting ended with welcoming al-Sadr’s initiative and confirming that he did not object to Jaafar al-Sadr’s candidacy.
Shabandar said in his tweet, “The framework meeting ended with welcoming the initiative of Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr and confirming his non-objection to the nomination of Mr. Jaafar al-Sadr to head the government, and also discussing the base that should be adopted for the nomination . ”
He added, “Consensus or agreement between the current and the framework – are they one bloc or two blocs ? Every option has a path, and every path has a beacon . ”
