Russian scientist denies carbon dioxide is responsible for global warming

Shafaq News/ The director of the Astronomical Observatory at Yarkutsk University in Russia, Sergey Yaziev, denied that carbon dioxide is the cause of global warming.
The Russian newspaper “Izvestia” quoted Yaziev as saying that the increase in the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere may be a result of the rise in ocean temperature, and not the other way around.
Yaziev explained that the Earth has a self-regulating system where warming leads to increased evaporation, and thus increased clouds in the atmosphere. These clouds do not allow sunlight to reach the Earth, but rather reflect it back into space, leading to lower temperatures, reduced evaporation, and fewer clouds. This is a continuous cyclical process.
The scientist points out that these and other mechanisms have ensured suitable conditions for life on Earth for nearly four billion years. As a result, contrary to the prevailing view, it may turn out that the increase in the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is not the cause, but rather the result of the warming of the oceans.
He adds that up to 60% of the world’s total carbon dioxide reserves are dissolved in the oceans. When the water temperature rises, as it is now, the gas is released like a bottle of warm champagne.
