Representative economics calls for amending an article related to companies in the budget

Member of the Parliamentary Economic Committee, Mazen Al-Faily, demanded, on Tuesday, to amend an article from the General Budget Law for the current year related to public companies.
Al-Faili said in a statement: “We call for the amendment of the Finance Committee’s proposal to Article (31) of the General Budget Law, which concerns public companies, whose implementation leads to a reduction in the capital reserves of public companies, which leads to weakening their productive and investment activities, and as a result there is weak competition with the product. “It will gradually lead to the layoffs of thousands of employees working in these companies and the increase in unemployment and poverty in society.”
Al-Faily also called for “providing full support to these companies to advance, develop, and supply them with modern production lines, rehabilitate the infrastructure they need, issue decisions that help them market their production, and oblige ministries and government departments to buy local products in order to move them towards catching up with modern technology.” Down to the comprehensive economic development of the country. ”
