The Saeron Alliance announced, on Wednesday, its rejection of any attempt to postpone the early elections that are scheduled to take place on the 6th of next June, under the pretext of incompatibility on the Federal Court law.
The deputy of the coalition, Salam Al-Shammari, said in a statement. “We are going with the full legalization of the upcoming elections, and this matter will not happen without the legislation of the Federal Supreme Court law.”
He added, “Most of the political blocs are keen to legislate all laws guaranteeing the conduct of free, fair and transparent elections, and provide broad opportunities for honest competencies to represent the Iraqi street.”
And Al-Shammari stated, “The electoral process will not take place without speeding up the legislation of a sober law for the Federal Court, in order to give full legitimacy to these elections,” explaining that “his bloc will demand that the Federal Court Law be set as a priority for legislation, when Parliament resumes its sessions next week.”
