He also noted that the Authority’s staff have begun processing all containers at the ports around the clock to support local markets. Al
-Waeli stated in a statement followed by Al-Maalomah that “all Border Ports Authority personnel are currently present at the seaports and have begun processing containers after completing the necessary procedures.” He explained that “the departments operating at the ports, particularly customs, have been reinforced with additional staff to expedite the processing of goods entry procedures.”
He added that “the Authority is working to implement Cabinet Resolution No. 100 of 2026, which includes procedures aimed at facilitating the release of containers and accelerating trade.”
He pointed out that “there are land crossings that represent important alternatives in case any sea crossing is closed, including Trebil, Arar, Safwan, and Al-Qaim,” stressing that “the authority is working around the clock to ensure the entry of goods and merchandise according to a well-thought-out plan, thus ensuring that import and trade with neighboring countries are not affected.”
