The independent politician Nasseem Abdullah confirmed, today, Friday, that the knot in the political process is not only with the coordination framework, but also lies in the selection of the President of the Republic, pointing out that the next seven days will witness the decision of the name of the candidate for the position.
Abdullah told Al-Maalouma, “The coordination framework granted the Kurds a limited period during the next seven days to choose the President of the Republic and present it to the House of Representatives in order to vote on it and proceed with the formation of the government.”
He added that “the knot in the political process does not lie in the coordination framework only, but in choosing the president of the republic and resolving this issue among the Kurdish component.”
And he indicated that “the next few days and during the last hours, the name of the candidate will be decided upon by the Kurds and they will present it to Parliament for the purpose of passing it, as it is not possible to predict the candidate for this position because there are many changes in politics.” finished
