The head of the Wujud Movement, Muhammad Abu Sa’ida, confirmed that the Trump administration is seeking to create obstacles and use various means of pressure to ensure the failure of any government formed by Maliki in the coming phase.
Abu Sa’ida told Al-Ma’luma, “The American administration is well aware of the ability of the prime ministerial candidate, Nouri al-Maliki, to manage the country in the coming phase, given his strength and wisdom in making decisions without fear, in addition to his ability to decide on war or non-war.”
He added, “America is trying, through exerting pressure and using various means, to ensure the failure of Maliki’s government if it is formed under his leadership, and to place obstacles in its path to guarantee its collapse.” He explained
that “the issue of bringing terrorist prisoners into Iraq and burdening the government with further financial costs, in addition to the danger these individuals pose, all fall within a plan to weaken and undermine the upcoming framework government.”
