Today, Saturday, the former member of the House of Representatives, Jassim Al-Bayati, considered the movements and visit of the US ambassador to Iraq, Elena Romanowski, to Anbar province a “blatant interference” in the internal affairs, while he criticized the government.
Al-Bayati said in an interview with Al-Maalouma agency, “The movements of Washington’s ambassador to Baghdad show the weakness of the ethnic government,” wondering, “Can the Iraqi ambassador to Washington go and meet with American politicians, merchants, and clans? Absolutely not.”
He added, “The government must be clear and aware of the movements of the US ambassador to Baghdad,” pointing out that “the latter is not entitled to work except in accordance with international and UN laws.”
The former deputy explained, “These interferences are considered blatant interference in the internal Iraqi affairs, and this thing is totally and completely rejected.”
A member of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Ali Al-Zubaidi, considered the movements of the US Ambassador, Elena Romanowsky, inside Iraq, provoking crises and strife, pointing out that the ambassador had transgressed diplomatic norms and protocols through her meetings with ministers and officials in the country.
The moves of Washington’s ambassador to Baghdad, Alina Romanowski, are receiving great political and popular rejection as a result of the major breaches that she is carrying out by holding meetings and visits to Iraqi institutions away from diplomatic frameworks.
