One of them is carrying Iraqi oil... Iran allows passage for two tankers that have been stranded for 3 monthsShafaq News – Middle East
Reuters reported on Monday that the liquefied gas tanker “Fuerette” and the oil tanker “Eagle Verona” had taken a route proposed by Iran to cross the Strait of Hormuz after being stuck for three months.

The “control” zone west of the Strait of Hormuz is defined as a straight line extending from the western tip of the Iranian island of Qeshm to a point east of the city of Umm al-Quwain in the United Arab Emirates. East of the strait, the zone extends from the Iranian village of Kuh Mubarak to a point south of the Emirati city of Fujairah.

According to the agency, these two ships are among the few supertankers leaving the Gulf region this month, via this passage that Iran has ordered to be used.

The gas tanker “Fuerit,” owned by the Japanese company “Mitsui O.S.K. Lines” and loaded with Qatari liquefied natural gas, is expected to unload its cargo in Pakistan on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the giant oil tanker “Eagle Verona,” chartered by a subsidiary of the Chinese company “Sinopec” and carrying Iraqi oil, is scheduled to arrive at the Chinese port of Ningbo on June 12.

The escalation surrounding Iran has led to a de facto blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital waterway for oil and liquefied natural gas supplies from the Gulf Arab states to global markets, negatively impacting export levels and oil production. As a result, most countries worldwide are experiencing rising fuel and industrial product prices.
