(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The spokesman for the Council of Ministers and the Minister of Culture, Hassan Nazim, revealed the most important decisions of the Council’s session on Tuesday, while stressing that the government’s approach is brief and its mission is to hold elections and restore the prestige of the state.
Nazem said, in the weekly press conference, “The Cabinet obligated, during today’s session, ministries, institutions and citizens to wear masks and physical distancing, and also stressed the prevention of gatherings and events in which citizens gather and the prevention of any form of gathering and crowds, whatever their cause.”
He added, “The Council of Ministers approved the resumption of work in a number of lagging hospitals, while it decided to link the external controls with the Ministry of Interior to prevent the smuggling of goods. It also voted to treat 6000 contractors with the Commission, and also discussed the report of the General Secretariat on the results of the government curriculum.”
“The Minister of Health and Environment, Hassan Al-Tamimi, warned during the session of a new situation that we may encounter unless we adhere to the procedures of the Supreme Committee, and that Iraq will receive more Corona vaccines at the end of this month,” Nazem added.
He pointed out, “There is vigorous follow-up to find a formula for cooperation between the ministries and the election commission, and there is great cooperation between the institutions and the commission to fulfill the requirements of the elections.”
“The current government’s curriculum is brief, and its mission is to hold elections and restore the prestige of the state. The government is serious about fighting corruption and holds the corrupt accountable, while the budget is under consideration and discussion in the House of Representatives,” Nazem concluded.
