MP warns against procrastination in implementing the decision to withdraw foreign forces

Representative of the Sadiqoun parliamentary bloc, Rafiq Al-Salihi, expressed his rejection of the continued presence of foreign forces in Iraq on Tuesday, stressing that the exit of foreign forces, led by the American ones, is irreversible.
Al-Salihi told Al-Maalouma Agency, “Most political forces are adhering to their firm position, which is the complete withdrawal of foreign forces from Iraq.”
He added, “For us, the matter is a matter of priority because our security depends on the withdrawal of foreign forces,” stressing “the necessity for all countries to withdraw their foreign forces present in Iraqi territory in compliance with the parliament’s decision.”
He continued, “Iraq’s security situation is stable and much better than in previous years, and the withdrawal of foreign forces after they are no longer needed is a necessity and a national choice.”
