MP Ahmed Shaheed revealed today, Sunday, that intensive political activity is currently taking place behind the scenes to resolve the issue of the remaining ministerial cabinet.
Shahid told Al-Maalomah News Agency that “political blocs are currently engaged in serious discussions and a series of meetings to discuss the names of new ministers as replacements for those who were rejected in the first voting session within the House of Representatives.”
He added that “these discussions and consultations within the political blocs will witness decisive action immediately after the end of the Eid holiday, with the aim of reaching a final agreement that ensures the passage of the remaining names and the completion of the cabinet without obstacles.”
Observers believe that the serious challenges and critical phase Iraq is going through require everyone to prioritize the interests of the nation and its citizens, and to relinquish some partisan gains and positions, by adopting a rational approach and a policy of containment to extricate the country from its current crises.
