MP - Mondays meeting will be decisive in resolving the political crisis and forming the governmentAl-Maalomah/Baghdad…
MP Mukhtar al-Youssef, from the Badr parliamentary bloc, revealed on Sunday the real reasons behind the postponement of the coordination framework meeting dedicated to deciding on a prime ministerial candidate. He confirmed that the postponement came in response to a direct request from Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Hikma Movement, and Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, head of the Euphrates Bloc.

Al-Youssef told Al-Maalomah News Agency, “The request for postponement was to allow for further consultations
and to bridge the differences between the forces within the framework.” He explained that “points of disagreement regarding the candidate of the largest bloc still exist, and there are several proposals on the table that need time to be developed.” He added that “tomorrow’s meeting, Monday, will be decisive and binding for all leaders of the coordination framework,” stressing the need to “reach a unified position to end the political deadlock and move towards forming a government.”
