MP Inam Ala’a Al-Din confirmed on Wednesday that no specific date has yet been set for a parliamentary session to vote on the remaining ministerial portfolios in Ali Al-Zidi’s government, attributing this to the continued divergence in political positions.
Ala’a Al-Din told the Information Agency, “The Parliament has not yet set any official date for the session to complete the vacant cabinet,” noting that “the matter is still under discussion and negotiation among the various parties.”
She added that “the visions and viewpoints remain divergent among the political forces regarding setting a date for the voting session and finalizing the appointments,” pointing out that “holding the session depends on reaching final agreements that end the dispute and ensure the passage of the nominees in Parliament without obstacles.”
