The head of the Rights Movement, MP Hussein Mounis, affirmed on Wednesday that the general budget law cannot tolerate further delays or procrastination, calling on political forces to set aside their internal conflicts to ensure its passage.
Mounis told the Information Agency, “The current stage requires concerted efforts to legislate the budget law, as it is directly linked to the lives of citizens and service projects.” He pointed out that “any further delay will negatively impact the country’s economic performance.”
He added, “Political blocs must overcome their differences and rivalries and proceed with a unified national vision that prioritizes the people’s interest above all else.” He explained that “the Rights Movement is pushing for the swift approval of the budget, steering clear of political deals that could hinder development.”
Earlier, economic expert Dirgham Muhammad Ali confirmed that domestic borrowing is the only solution for the government to secure employee salaries and social welfare payments for May, in addition to other important and urgent financial obligations.
