MP Mohammed al-Baldawi confirmed on Monday that the position of First Deputy Speaker of Parliament will go to Adnan Faihan, according to a majority agreement within the Coordination Framework.
Al-Baldawi explained in a statement to the Information Agency that “the Coordination Framework forces finalized their position on the position after a series of political consultations,” indicating that “the consensus was based on the principle of majority rule within the Framework, and in line with the upcoming political phase and its requirements.”
He added that “the selection of Adnan Faihan reflects the Coordination Framework’s commitment to ensuring stability within the legislative institution and the smooth continuation of Parliament’s work in the coming period.”
