Minister of Electricity: 3 years separate us from energy self-sufficiency

Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Minister of Electricity, Adel Karim announced on Monday that the country has reached energy self-sufficiency within 3 years.
Karim said in a press conference held in Najaf Governorate, which was attended by Shafak News Agency; “Iraq has only 3 years to be satisfied with electricity.”
The Minister of Electricity added; “After agreeing to complete 24,000 megawatts next summer, 5,000 megawatts will be added.”
He pointed out that “there is little left to complete the Turkish and Saudi electricity supply line.”
on the national network bypassers; Karim stated that “the overrun homes will be linked to an electricity budget, and collection from them will start early next year.”
