MP Inam Hamoudi, from the State of Law Coalition, affirmed on Saturday the coalition’s full commitment to its electoral entitlement in the government formation and its refusal to relinquish the ministerial portfolios allocated to it.
Hamoudi told the Information Agency, “The State of Law Coalition remains committed to its constitutional and electoral right and will not relinquish the ministries that represent its parliamentary entitlement within the government structure.” She explained that “resolving the ministerial entitlements is a fundamental step to completing the formation of the government and enabling it to perform its duties.”
She added that “the continued obstruction of the approval of the remaining ministries and the failure to complete the cabinet has had a direct and negative impact on the work of the government and the performance of its executive bodies.” She pointed out that “this administrative vacuum has hindered the implementation of the government program as required and has stalled the execution of service projects and plans awaited by the public.”
Hammoudi called on political blocs to “prioritize the national interest, end the deadlock, and quickly reach an agreement on filling the vacant ministerial posts within Parliament, thus empowering the entire ministerial team to begin seriously fulfilling its commitments and providing services to citizens.”
Earlier, Member of Parliament Nasser Taqi warned of the dangers of continuing to manage the vacant ministries through acting appointments or leaving them without a political and legal resolution, stressing that this directly contributes to exacerbating the financial and economic crises the country is experiencing.
