On Sunday, Jassim Mohammed Jaafar, a leader in the State of Law Coalition, revealed concerns about the prime minister-designate’s ability to manage the country’s complex files, despite the declared political support he enjoys. He urged him to assemble a highly skilled advisory team.
Jaafar told the Information Agency, “There is genuine apprehension about the success of the prime minister-designate’s mission for several reasons, most notably his encounter with complex issues that are not easily resolved by someone lacking experience in managing sensitive state institutions.”
He added, “Overcoming this obstacle requires forming a high-level advisory team specializing in administrative, financial, and security matters.” He pointed out that “the most serious challenge facing the next government is how to deal with American demands.”
He stressed the necessity for the government “not to succumb to external pressures, particularly those of the United States,” while expressing his hope that the government will succeed in overcoming these pressures to ensure national sovereignty.
