The deputy in parliament and head of the Kurdish Future bloc, Sarkut Shamsuddin, confirmed, on Sunday, that the Kurdistan Regional Government will not deliver the oil to Baghdad.
Shams al-Din said in an interview with / information / that “the regional government is stalling in order to gain time and we will enter the second half of the fiscal year, and therefore it is difficult to implement the budget agreement between Baghdad and Erbil.”
He added that “the Kurdistan Regional Government was the one that abandoned the budget agreement because from the beginning it did not want to deliver the oil, and it wanted to receive the sums from Baghdad without delivering a single barrel because it could not do that step since the region’s oil is under the control of Turkish companies.”
