Kirkuk International Airport operates direct flights to Dubai

Kirkuk International Airport announced on Monday the launch of direct flights between Kirkuk and Dubai starting from June 21, in a move aimed at strengthening air connectivity between the province and the United Arab Emirates, and providing easier and more comfortable travel options for passengers.
The airport administration said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency that the flights will operate at a rate of three flights per week, to meet the increasing demand for travel between the two cities and to facilitate the movement of travelers for business, trade and tourism purposes.
She added that the opening of the new air route represents an important achievement within the plans to develop the services of Kirkuk International Airport and expand its network of regional and international destinations, which contributes to supporting economic and commercial activity and enhancing communication with various countries in the region.
The administration confirmed that this route comes within the framework of efforts aimed at revitalizing air traffic in the governorate and providing new and diverse destinations via the airport, which has witnessed a remarkable gradual expansion in its services since the resumption of its civilian flights.
