BAGHDAD (AFP) – A source close to the government said on Tuesday the most important agreement Iraq signed with China during the recent visit of Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi at the head of a large delegation to the Chinese Republic, which lasted five days.
The source told Al-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper that the framework agreement for spending through the financial trust fund is among the most important agreements concluded with the Chinese side.
He added that “China, according to the recent agreements will be one of the largest importers of Iraqi oil, and today imports up to 800 thousand barrels of oil per day from Iraq and I expect to rise to one million next year.” is over
