The Iraqi parliament voted on Thursday afternoon on the ministerial program of Prime Minister-designate Ali al-Zaidi, and began voting on a number of ministers.

The House of Representatives, in its session attended by 266 members, voted to appoint Basim Muhammad Khudair as Minister of Oil, Muhammad Nouri as Minister of Industry, and Ali Saad Wahib as Minister of Electricity.

They also voted for Abdul Hussein Al-Moussawi as Minister of Health, Sarwa Abdul Wahid as Minister of Environment, Muthanna Al-Tamimi as Minister of Water Resources, Abdul Rahim as Minister of Agriculture, Khalid Shawani as Minister of Justice, Abdul Karim Abtan as Minister of Education, and Mustafa Nizar Jumaa as Minister of Trade.

Parliament also voted to appoint Wahab Mohammed as Minister of Transport, Faleh Al-Sari as Minister of Finance, and Mustafa Sand as Minister of Communications.

Parliament has not yet voted on the nominees for the Ministries of Higher Education and Interior due to objections to the nominees.
