9-4-2016 Newshound Guru mike Abadi promised a crack down on corruption and a replacement of quota based politicians based on their merits, technocrats. So far, he’s got 33% of the corruption measures (in his own words) in place and we still don’t have a Interior Minister, Defense Minister or technocrats. Abadi promised the citizens a robust and growing economy by using the private sector, how’s that working out? We still sit and wait on banking and economic laws to support the CBI’s move to Article VIII… The AML is the only significant piece of legislation to come out of the Abadi camp, even the Amnesty Law is flawed on many levels. …do I think Iraq is the same as it was three years ago.

9-4-2016 Newshound Guru mike …I would say no, nothing is static. Can they get it done? Sure. Am I following these guys with the hope and confidence that nothing can stay this messed up forever? Absolutely. I believe the dinar will appreciate in the future… I just don’t jump up and down every time an Iraqi politician says they’re going to do something because nine times out of ten, they don’t do anything, they just give lip service to the citizens and whoever they’re trying to borrow money from. Here’s hoping something relevant changes…in the coming day.

9-3-2016 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG “…the House of Representatives sent, during the last two days of the amnesty law to the presidency of the republic to see the paragraphs, materials and approved for publication in the Official Gazette.” General Amnesty will be law. I guess it didn’t happen – and get published in the Gazette weeks ago …looks like the next 2 days or so…IMF, WB and UN are behind this. For sure. …things are moving ahead for Iraq DOUBLE TIME…

He’s desperate. He was trying to blame Maliki for his demise – less than 24hrs ago. IMHO – they will start with ZEBARI and there will major players on all sides “bite the dust”. …my sense is – there is far more to this story than we know. [any chance this no confidence vote on Zebari has an impact on the HCL being implemented?] IMHO – no chance.

9-3-2016 Intel/Newshound Guru tman23 A RV from rags to riches is pure speculation…Lifting the 3 zeros at the start of the New Year has been their topic in ink for years…How they will treat the 3 zero notes we hold is pure speculation… WE hope for rags to riches…BUT the only thing for certain is currency reform which includes removing 3 zeros from currency notes…and if that means NEW CURRENCY or includes the currency we hold also…that is the reality of it!

I hope that ” IT ” will happen eventually… My view is principally influenced by ” experts ” not involved in currency reform. I look at / for ” RELATIVE ” stability and security in Iraq as a condition precedent or attendant to an increase in currency values.

9-3-2016 Intel/Newshound Guru Mnt Goat Article: “Erbil and Baghdad reach agreement on Kirkuk oil exports” More news about HCL. Seems agreements have been made but…It is not all done or enforceable (problem all along with past agreements) until they pass the HCL law and make it all legal and binding. They are hoping to finally nail this down and complete HCL this time around. They also needed to get the 2017 budget done since it contains the expected barrel output of oil to fulfill the budget that must also be agreed upon by Kurdistan. But they are working on it and we should see HCL in the coming weeks get voted on in parliament.
