8-28-2014 Newshound Guru Chattels [I don’t think M is out?] …Maliki is still the incumbent Prime Minister, he has not resigned. Maliki’s position is akin to a “lame – duck” President in our system. His executive position ends upon the seating and swearing of the Prime Minister – designate and his Council of Ministers by a majority vote of the Parliament.

8-28-2014 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG Exchange rates ( 1,201 Market Rate * NEW * ) This is new. Prior to today [Wednesday] most of this “it’s happening today…” business couldn’t have been possible. Without there being an IMF compliant spread in place they would have had to act very quickly to make any rate increase work. As of now they are either in compliance or within 1 Dinar (current value) of being there.

I myself am feeling very encouraged…the developments have been extremely good… and my own window is anytime from the seating of the GOI to January 1st. That is my focus… right now.

8-27-2014 Intel Guru Frank26 IMO, The rate is already released and working in secret with the GOI that meets in secret. Therefore I am saying WHEN the GOI announces itself …We will see a BUDGET and a RATE joined at the hips. Many are looking for the GOI formation. I am looking at the CBI only.

8-27-2014 RUMOR Guru As of last weekend and Monday, everyone is geared up and ready. The PM did make an announcement about the horrible bombings in the mosque and some statements about the GOI being nearly done, etc. That was on Monday, and everyone else in the world is ready, just waiting on those announcements to go forward. We understand that things are moving behind the scenes this last week. They did publish the GOI in the Gazette this weekend…which makes it official and sealed it. Today is largely just waiting. This morning, he just said “It’s about to be done”, without a timeline.

8-27-2014 RUMOR Guru The bottom line is that we’re ready to go. Last week the PM twice said he would make scheduled public announcements, and the celebrations were scheduled. They were moved by 48 hours, each time. We are now down to 48 hours. We know the events are stills scheduled as of this morning. There are still meetings going on and we will see what happens. They have already chosen the moment, we just don’t know when it will be.

How long do you think it must stay in the margin before it is considered safe by the IMF for the RV to move forward, IYO?] Very good sign. However, I have no idea what is on the IMF agenda – neither does anyone else.

8-27-2014 RUMOR Guru Mnt Goat Tuesday 8/26, MP of the state of law coalition, Abbas al-Bayati said that Abadi received the names of the candidates from the political blocs. Abadi then confirmed in a press conference that he will be able to provide the new government before the end of the constitutional period, which ends on 9/9… There we have it, a new target given to us by the prime minister. Let’s hope there are no more delays. I believe they do not need to take this much time and so I would guess we can expect some announcement probably next week, maybe on 9/2 or 9/3. Again this is my guess from what I know.

8-27-2014 RUMOR Guru Mnt Goat So we now wait and see if they live up to completing the government by the required constitutional timeline. I believe the government is very much all but done and seated. All they need is to fine tune it and complete it so they can announce it to the world. Many of you asked me if a formal, public announcement is necessary and the answer is a big fat YES. I do whole heartedly believe that the RV rollout will be completed just prior to or just after this announcement.
