In other words, he is referencing the “plan” that has existed since 2007 to return the dinar to its original value of $3.33 per dinar.

If we saw a mass dumping of dinar when the market rate dropped last month, how do you think Iraqi’s would respond to an “official” devaluation? IMO it would be a nightmare. As for a float, though that is what we expect, the conditions are not right now for that to occur. Again, I think we are in a situation where the CBI is hamstrung and trying to buy time for the laws to be passed, and the security and stability to set in. Once that occurs, investors and capital will begin to come in and the CBI can start to look at monetary changes. Until that happens, we wait.

In the last 2 weeks they are now being told more about Maliki…The GOI put out campaign to inform the citizens that Maliki will be dealt with. The treason report that was given to the citizens of Iraq (about 9 months ago) – says that Maliki will go to trial. What does that have to do with the MR? Everything! In our opinion when you see the #1 HCL … #2 Maliki contained … #3 will be the RI / RV. We believe these 3 events will come together at the same time.

7-13-2015 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG clearly THE NEWS of the day: Maliki submitted his resignation after the holiday…and the first reshuffle of the government ousted by al-Abadi “Hoshyar Zebari”. …IMHO – that is the main thing I am looking for…amazing how many other items are about to tumble into place. If he goes things are in OVERDRIVE!!

7-13-2015 Newshound/Intel Guru Arthur Liquidity could be created overnight by the IMF and WB (PTB) in a heartbeat, but nobody is willing to do that to a country in political turmoil with no law governing how that money will be fairly distributed as to maintain a strong dinar for years to come. If you had 18 kids (provinces) that didn’t get along, would you just give the oldest one (Baghdad) all the money and trust that the money would be evenly distributed to the others and his creditors? And not to mention this kid you are throwing all this money at has just recently been let off of a decade long punishment for attacking his neighbors and attempting genocide on his own brothers.

7-13-2015 Newshound/Intel Guru Arthur Thankfully all those people mentioned that have supposedly understood everything while the country has been going to hell in a hand basket are the very ones in serious negotiations right now to finally get a vitally needed and long awaited Hydrocarbon Law in Iraq. …the HCL is part and parcel of the budget itself and is connected at the hip with a simultaneous or shortly thereafter IQD reality rate at which time the “liquidity” problem will suddenly and inexplicably disappear… and the good news is the timing for this as of now appears to be sooner rather than later given the latest and soon to be public progress made in both public and secret negotiations going on right now. The proof will be in how fast everything is about to start falling in place as they get closer and closer to and HCL agreement leading up to and culminating in the revaluation of the Iraqi dinar.
