Iraq has entered the list of the world’s largest countries in terms of proven natural gas reserves for 2025, according to international data issued by the Energy Institute and the Statistical Review of World Energy.
Iraq was included in the list of major countries with natural gas reserves amounting to 125 trillion cubic feet.
Russia topped the list with 1,321 trillion cubic feet, followed by Iran with 1,133, then Qatar in third place with 871, Turkmenistan in fourth place with 480, and the United States in fifth place with 446.
China came in sixth with 297 trillion cubic feet, Venezuela seventh with 221, Saudi Arabia eighth with 213, the UAE ninth with 210, Nigeria tenth with 193, Iraq in 11th place with 125, Azerbaijan in 12th place with 88, Australia in 13th place with 84, Canada in 14th place with 83, and Algeria in 15th place with 81 trillion cubic feet.
