A source in the ministry said, “Drilling activities resumed in the Halfaya oil field during the second half of last year, as part of a plan to drill 32 wells in it, using drilling rigs belonging to the companies: Dagen, Bohai and Anton Oil,” noting that “drilling operations had been forced to stop due to a pandemic. The statement added that “four of the wells were completed using the horizontal drilling technique, one well by the oblique drilling method, and two by the vertical drilling technique within the reservoirs: Mishref, Al-Hartha, Al-Saadi and Jeribi Kirkuk,” pointing to “the contribution of the new wells to enhancing the company’s production of crude to meet the requirements of the next stages of oil production.” the work” .
