Former parliament member Ayoub Al-Rubaie confirmed, on Thursday, that the formation of the next government may not take more than three months.
Al-Rubaie said in an interview with Al-Information that “the Iraqi scene is going through a very sensitive stage, and the political blockage has been its most prominent advantages for months,” stressing that “after today’s session, the forces will be facing another stage, and it represents an important opportunity to move forward, especially as the country is going through suffocating crises.”
He added, “The formation of the next government may not take 3 months if it adopts 3 tracks, which are consensuality, mutual concessions, and setting an agreed roadmap for running the country,” noting “the importance of forming a government to solve crises, not a quota government that repeats previous mistakes.”
Today, the House of Representatives holds an extraordinary session in order to vote on the replacements of the Sadrist movement, who submitted their resignations earlier. Finished/ 25 F
