Exclusive: MP expects cabinet meeting to be postponed for several hours

Independent MP Abdul Hamza Al-Khafaji predicted on Thursday that the session to complete the government cabinet would be postponed for several hours.
Al-Khafaji told Shafaq News Agency that the number of members of parliament currently present inside the hall has reached 110.
He added, “There is no legal quorum for today’s session at the moment, and it is expected to be postponed to other hours or to another day, if the current situation continues.”
The session was supposed to be held at 7:00 PM today, and Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi arrived at the parliament building, accompanied by the candidates for the vacant ministries and the deputy prime ministers.
The President of the Republic also arrived at Parliament, and the bell to start the session rang more than half an hour ago.
