{International: Euphrates News} US authorities transferred on Sunday evening five detainees from Guantanamo Bay in Cuba to the United Arab Emirates, as part of a plan applied by Washington to close the controversial prison.
He said the Pentagon said in a statement today that “the transfer of these five to remain in the prison located inside the US military base in Cuba, the island of 107 detainees.” He expressed the Pentagon for “gratitude to the United Arab Emirates government on its willingness to support efforts to close the detention center at Guantanamo Bay US efforts” .
