Former MP Ghalib Muhammad Ali confirmed today, Thursday, that the success of Prime Minister-designate Ali Falih al-Zidi in his upcoming mission depends on his ability to utilize his investment background in managing the state, stressing the need to move away from traditional administrative contexts.
Ali told Al-Maalomah News Agency, “The prime minister-designate has a broad economic background as an investor and businessman, and this requires him to think with a purely investment mindset capable of improving the Iraqi reality instead of being preoccupied with the routine administrative aspect that may hinder the desired economic development.”
He added that “Al-Zaydi is well-informed about the inner workings of government work and has field experience, as he has worked in the contracting and construction sector for long periods, which makes him the closest to understanding the requirements of the current stage, which needs a revolution in construction and infrastructure development.”
He explained that “the opportunity is available for the appointee to work on more advanced and modern files within the structure of the Iraqi economy, benefiting from his knowledge of the mechanisms of work inside and outside the government, as in the private sector, to ensure a qualitative leap that will be felt in the lives of citizens.”
