Deputy: The budget will be approved next month, and its ceiling is 199 trillion dinars

Today, Friday, a member of the Finance Committee in Parliament, Mueen Al-Kazemi, confirmed the existence of a parliamentary consensus to approve the budget, while revealing a deficit of (64) trillion dinars in the budget.
Al-Kazemi stated, in a statement singled out to him by “The Insider”, that “the upper ceiling of the budget for the current year amounted to (199) trillion dinars, of which 150 trillion is the operational budget, which includes (salaries, consumer and commodity matters, the ration ration, social welfare, and the consumption of ministries.”
And he indicated that “the draft law allocated (50) trillion dinars for reconstruction and construction, including (2.5) trillion dinars for the governorates under the title of developing the regions,” calling for “increasing the amount allocated for the development of the regions based on the population census and the poverty rate, and this amount is insufficient and does not meet the needs of the provinces.”
Al-Kazemi indicated that “the budget deficit amounted to (64) trillion dinars, and that the parliamentary finance is working to reduce it,” noting that “the vote on the budget will take place in the fifth month, and the government will start its program with the beginning of the sixth month.”
The deputy called on the ministries and provinces to prepare and complete the necessary preparations to implement their projects and invest the remainder of this year.
He concluded that “Parliament will vote on a budget for three years so that the projects do not stop,” revealing that “there is a parliamentary consensus to pass the budget.”
