Member of Parliament, Layal Al-Bayati, confirmed, on Saturday, that parliament members will not vote on the 2021 budget if it affects the salaries of employees, retirees, and the working class in society.
And Al-Bayati confirmed, in a statement, that it “follows up all the paragraphs and points of disagreement in the budget with the Financial Committee to ensure the rights of employees, retirees and beneficiaries of social care.”
She indicated, “Council members are working to ensure the rights of free and administrative lecturers, contracts, employees and whose contracts have been canceled from the Interior, Defense and Mobilization Forces within the budget law.”
Al-Bayati added that she and the members of the Parliamentary Finance Committee are following up the issue of appointing holders of higher degrees, medical professions, equity of engineers and old graduates within the draft law, before it is voted on and passed in Parliament.
