Deputy for the National Approach: The government and political parties cover the largest corruption operations through the currency auction

On Saturday, the National Nahj parliamentary bloc accused the government and political parties of covering up the largest corruption file for wasting public money, noting that corruption will not end without canceling the currency auction .
The representative of the bloc, Hussein Al-Aqabi, said, “The government’s revenue after the rise in oil prices exceeded 10 billion dinars in some months, but it did not achieve any prosperity or economic reform,” noting that “the measures of the Ministry of Finance are futile and do not benefit the Iraqi economy .”
Al-Uqabi added, “The regulatory authorities are required to open a clear investigation regarding the change in the dollar exchange rate,” noting that “the currency auction is a looting of state funds .”
He pointed out that “the currency auction is considered the largest corruption process and is protected by the government and the House of Representatives,” noting that “the majority of blocs in parliament protect the behavior of the central bank that harms the economy for the sake of its economic interests.”
