Coordination Framework member Uday Abdul-Hadi confirmed on Wednesday that the proposal of more than one candidate for the remaining ministerial portfolios is on the table and will be decided during an important meeting to be held after the end of the Eid al-Adha holiday.
Abdul-Hadi told Al-Maalomah that “the remaining ministerial portfolios, including sovereign ministries, will be agreed upon according to their files after the Eid al-Adha holiday,” noting that “an important meeting of the Coordination Framework forces will be held to agree on key files, before the Iraqi Parliament holds a session to vote on the remaining ministerial cabinet of Ali al-Zidi’s government.”
He explained that “the submission of more than one candidate by the political forces for the remaining portfolios is on the table, and the names will be agreed upon in a way that ensures their smooth passage without complications,” noting that “resolving the remaining issues has become very important, and there is a general agreement on finding solutions.”
Abdul-Hadi concluded by saying that “the meetings that will follow the end of the Eid al-Adha holiday will be crucial in finalizing these matters.”
