11-21-2013 Intel Guru TD So Where are we REALLY? Just check the CBI website and that pretty much says it all. Keep in mind, no one can stop something that hasn’t even started. What is going on is political posturing by mainly M [Maliki] supporters to release at the best time to get the most bang for your buck which is re-election. And that schedule is spring of next year. It is primarily M’s backers who are holding up revisions of bills and additional laws passed & implemented. They feel timing before election time ( no one knows or has decided exactly which month as of yet) will yield a return to their cozy seats. Read more…

11-20-2013 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG Article: “Raising zeros from the Iraqi currency strengthens and raises the value of dinar, says economic committee member” This is another member of the Economic committee in Parliament speaking out in the media…why?? …they want it as bad as we do – maybe worse. Every time it doesn’t happen when “supposed to” the Finance and Economic committees just go bonkers in the media. 11-19-2013 Newshound Guru Doc A second article is quoted as “”We expect that the first issuance will be in the value of 3 billion Iraqi dinars ($2.58 million),” said Abdul-Basit Turki Saeed.” This is referring to the issuance of domestic bonds in dinar. We will not dwell on the importance of this in that it is necessary monetary tool for interest rates and moves Iraq a little ways away from USD dependency. Our opinion is this is the initial test case. 3 billion dinar represents less than 0.01% of the money supply. With that it will take some time for the bond program to have a substantial impact on monetary controls. However, if the initial launch is successful it could become a significant factor fairly quickly. We see this as another piece of the infrastructure that will support a stable healthy currency in the long term. Read more…

11-18-2013 Newshound Guru Millionday the banks are activating the needs of the companies in iraq to make it easier for those domestically. they are actively creating the loans and procedures and terms. so, they are saying the first step is the dinar and that is how you enter the world and that is how they are. Article quote: “the CBI would like to emphasize that such timing is Matrouh [now or in the present] currently”. it is almost 2014 and they are saying its time to move…they have not said 2014 — they are working on currently. with the debit cards and the announcement they are entering the globe — i have to say this is great if their watches work like ours. 11-16-2013 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG Fact: the Dinar is regularly referred to as “grossly undervalued” on Iraqi TV…there was an Iraqi economist speaking at this “UNCTAD” in Geneva – he made mention of an imminent radical “upsurge” in the value of the IQD in the near future. Iraq has been referred to by DC as “economically able to stand on their own”…with this comment and the possibility of a few troops going over – that is interesting to me…The President seems intent on getting Iran out from under these sanctions. I look for something after these Nov 20th meetings. Once Iran doesn’t need to launder money – no need to keep the Dinar low… Read more…

11-15-2013 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG Dr Shabibi had 3 tools in mind…1) auctions…2) tarriffs…3) and taxes…all to regulate the value of the currency. with not much economy – there isn’t much tax revenue…with Maliki stonewalling – no tarriffs…they were hamstrung by nothing getting done. [Bonds will replace auctions, right?] yes – only the flow goes the opposite direction.

11-15-2013 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG instead of regulating the value based on how much you sell the Dinar for…they will sell bonds and regulate the value based on how much they “allow you” for your currency on the way in…auctions = money going out, bond sales = money coming in…several BIG advantages…they are creating the “financing” to bolster the value of the Dinar…they are “regulating” the value of the Dinar…and they are taking in the 000 notes at the same time. If they stop the auctions without adding an appropriate replacement, then they are leaving the rate to chance with no way to support it. 11-13-2013 Newshound Guru Millionday this fantastic conference…is about the activation of the economic reform…it is going on now. the cbi gov addressed them today and now we have all business and trade bank there as well. iraq is selling bonds for the first time since 2003. bonds are used for asset prices and the economy support so the fact that iraq is selling them now as they reform shows that they are using them to support assets and help the economy through control…and also help with all other economic rates too. also, in the next…2 days…they are activating the social security and all other benefits with cash and be funding the citizens…and also the 19 through the 21st is the huge kuwait meeting with iraq to activate all trade and projects i would say this is coming with the entry to the world economically. 11-12-2013 Newshound Guru Kaperoni Article: “Finance is seeking to adopt the electronic system in banks” This is a great article because it clearly tells us their are two systems being implemented. 1. is the local “project chunk” that is connecting all banks and using cash machines/debit cards transactions. and 2. is the CBI project of credit cards and phone banking globally. IMO, …I do not think either of these systems will go online until after the currency change. Do it before would be a financial nightmare. So for the next 4 days look for this to happen, there can still be things to get in the way because it is political but it is looking very good for this to happen… The Rate is still in flux right now and no one will know the true rate until it shows but it should be a 2 plus rate…. Some feel that is a good thing for us while others contend it hurts us. What say you ‘ol wise one?] Depends…dropping the 0’s from the front of the exchange rate would increase the value to approximately .86:1, which would be fantastic…but it’s not likely. 11-7-2013 Newshound Guru Stryker we are waiting to see if the 2014 Fiscal Budget makes its way from the CoM where Maliki has been holding meetings to see how it can be moved forward to parliament. If the budget doesn’t not make it there by the 14th parliament will go on its one month break. Not good if we expect to see reform by January 2014. Let’s hope that on Tuesday the 12th (next meeting) parliament’s agenda includes some of the important laws…Iraq must have all their ducks in a row before currency reform can take place. On one side Maliki’s Press Office seems to want to push the story of a “complete embrace” by Washington – However… On the other side there seems to be a very different perspective. 1) Maliki put out press that he was going to a meeting with President Obama and discuss the future of Iraq…In fact, he met with President Obama very little. 2) Upon hearing this narrative by Maliki, Vice President Biden immediately invited ALL the opposition leaders – not a good sign for Maliki to have a series of “negotiations” in DC followed immediately by a visit with all of your opposition members.
