4-7-2014 Intel/Newshound Guru American Contractor …the April 30th elections are still on for now. Although, it was nearly called off after the members of the Iraq Election Commission resigned. The reason being, they protested the written language inside the election law. The law stated candidates must be “of good reputation.” This gave political parties leverage to remove opponents from the election political process. The Election board members have withdrawn their group resignation and went back to work. I expect that there will be more incidents like this as we get closer to April 30th. My prediction is that Prime Minister Nuri Maliki will remain after the elections. I could be wrong, however, Prime Minister Maliki is working non-stop in keeping his position. Read more…

4-4-2014 Intel Guru TD As I stated weeks ago that nothing (agendas/business) is really moving forward this close to the elections and that’s even more true now. I just wanted to weigh in briefly regarding the (now again) recycled rumor that Iraq has prohibited the use of the dollar and from conversations as recent as today, Friday, that simply is false. In fact most all merchants still ask FIRST for the dollar.

Otherwise, this money that sits in US bank accounts could be subject to garnishment/judgements. It has always been my position that the US should protect it until Iraq was ready to stand up on their own internationally because these funds are Iraq’s assets which could be used to back its currency. CLDP training for Iraq…is clearly preparing Iraq for international business. I find it interesting the training is [May] 18-22 (the day 13303 expires). 3-28-2014 Newshound Guru Kaperoni Based on all the information (articles, IMF, etc) it is apparent they are going to “raise zeros” by a gradual appreciation (IMF Article IV consultation – which is a float) of the currency and then “delete zeros” which is the implementation of the Law if Indebitness. As for what they say on TV, they usually refer to it either as a “reevaluation” or “reevaluate of the dinar”.
