By more than 5%… Iraqi crude prices plummet as global oil prices decline

Iraqi oil prices recorded a significant decline in conjunction with the drop in global crude prices, as Basra Heavy crude fell by more than 5%, while Brent and West Texas Intermediate crude futures declined during today’s trading.
Market data showed that Basra Heavy crude fell to $47.73 a barrel, down $2.75 or 5.45%, while Basra Medium crude dropped to $49.83 a barrel, a loss of 5.23%.
Globally, Brent crude fell to $77.63 a barrel, down 0.35%, while US West Texas Intermediate crude fell to $73.73 a barrel, losing 0.18%.
The UAE’s Murban crude fell 3.86% to $70.79 a barrel, while Saudi Arabia’s Arab Light crude declined 3.58% to $80.72 a barrel.
In contrast, the OPEC basket rose to $83.16 a barrel, an increase of 0.78%, and Russian Urals crude climbed 8.81% to $66.58 a barrel.
