The Kurdistan Democratic Party announced its withdrawal from the Iraqi government and parliament in protest against the election of Nizar Amidi as president of the republic.
In a statement, he said: “We have decided to withdraw our representatives and ministers in the federal government to Erbil and we will not deal with the ‘person’ who was chosen as president of the republic.”
