On Sunday, a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Bashir al-Haddad, expected the two Kurdish Democratic and Patriotic Union parties to agree on an alternative candidate for the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, while he ruled out the passing of Prime Minister Sadri Qah.
Al-Haddad said in a televised statement that “based on the principle of the experimenter does not try, new personalities will be re-assigned to presidential and ministerial positions in most cases.”
Al-Haddad, a former deputy speaker of parliament, added, “The two Kurdish parties will agree to nominate an alternative candidate to take over the presidency in place of Barham Salih with 80%, and I do not think he will be re-elected again.”
He explained, “The scenarios for forming the government will be as follows, the first of which is that a Sadrist prime minister is chosen, which is somewhat unlikely, and the second is choosing a Sadrist prime minister in accordance with the coordination framework or assigning a personality outside the framework and the Sadrist bloc at the time. It is possible to re-present Al-Kazemi as a personality independent of both parties.
