Erbil, July 18 (Rn) – A newspaper (politics) Kuwait in today’s edition on Wednesday that the Iraqi government decided yesterday to authorize the Iraqi Transport Minister Hadi al-Amiri negotiating with Kuwait on the mechanism for payment of compensation arising out of Kuwait Airways Corporation due to damage to the aircraft during the invasion of Kuwait in 1990.said Iraqi government spokesman Ali Dabbagh said in a brief statement distributed in Baghdad yesterday that “the government decided to” authorize the Minister of Transportation the authority to negotiate with the Kuwaiti government on the mechanism of compensation and settlement Kuwaiti claims on the debt of Kuwait Airways. ” The governments of Iraq and the Kuwaiti signed during the visit of Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki of Kuwait in the 14 March agreement of dropping suits and judgments filed by Kuwait Airways against its Iraqi counterpart.
