Today, Wednesday, the State of Law Coalition identified two reasons behind the visit of the former Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, to Iran, before the visit of its Foreign Minister to Baghdad, while confirming that Al-Kazemi is trying to enter the Iraqi political process again.
The leader of the coalition, Kazem Al-Haidari, said, in an interview with Al-Maalouma Agency, that “Al-Kazemi’s visit to Iran before the visit of Foreign Minister Amir Hussein Abdullahian to Iraq is due to two main files,” noting that “the first axis is that he tried to play the role of mediator between Iran and America and is still This file is stuck in Al-Kazemi’s memory.
He added, “As for the internal aspect, Al-Kadhimi wants to form a political bloc, enter the upcoming elections, and try to smooth the atmosphere between the countries affecting the Iraqi political equation, including Iran.”
The leader of Maliki’s coalition said, “The former prime minister expects his visit to be like this, and he still sees himself as the man with the greatest fortune in the political equation.”
And Al-Haidari stated, “Al-Kazemi is trying to present himself as a ready and acceptable alternative to the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, in the event that he decides to withdraw himself for any reason.”
The former Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, had visited the Islamic Republic of Iran and met with Foreign Minister Amir Hussein Abdullahian before his visit to Baghdad.
