Economist Majid Al-Suri, on Saturday, explained the main reasons for the decline and deterioration of the economic situation in the country, noting that the Al-Kazemi government does not have the will to advance the economy.
Al-Suri said in a statement to “the information”, that “the serious economic decline and deterioration that occurred after the exchange rate of the dollar was raised, and that the Al-Kazemi government will bear it, and immediate and rapid solutions must be found to save what can be saved.”
He added that “the government said that raising the dollar exchange rate would limit currency smuggling, but the Central Bank indicated a significant increase in its sales abroad.”
Al-Suri pointed out that “the government’s steps in dealing with the economic situation are more theoretical than practical, and that the Chinese agreement cannot be replaced with an Egyptian or Jordanian one, and there is a big difference in the development between China and these two countries.”
