A member of the Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee, Baqir Al-Saadi, revealed, on Sunday, an emergency hosting of all the governors of Iraq in the House of Representatives tomorrow, while stressing that all financial matters and proportions of the provinces from the general budget will be discussed before passing them.
Al-Saadi said, in an interview with Al-Maalouma Agency, that “the meeting will include providing clarification from the governors to Parliament about the schedules of disbursement of funds from the Food Security Law for each governorate,” noting that “the specialized parliamentary committees decided to hold an emergency meeting for all the governors of Iraq in order to resolve the proportions of each governorate.” Of the general budget law and vital projects that are of great importance to each other.
And he continued, “The meeting will take place under the chairmanship of the Parliamentary Services Committee, which seeks to do justice to the southern governorates and raise the percentages allocated to them in the general budget law,” noting that “all financial matters and the percentages of the governorates from the general budget will be discussed before proceeding to pass them.”
